The Los Angeles Opera is one of the resident companies of the Los Angeles Music Center. It is the fourth-largest opera companies in the United States with its home base at the Dorothy Chancler Pavillion. The Rafael & Luisa De Marchena Foundation is a proud sponser of the Los Angeles Opera and their Young Artists Program.

President JC Gonzalez has been a board member with the LA Opera since 2024.

For LA Opera’s 2025/26 Season, The Rafael & Luisa de Marchena-Huyke Foundation is proud to participate as a 40th Anniversary Angel.

We focus on supporting the arts in Los Angeles.

We are big fans of the arts in downtown LA. The Los Angeles Music Center is the home of the Dorothy Chancler Pavilion and the Los Angeles Opera, Ahmanson Theater, Mark Taper Forum, Roy and Edna Disney / CalArts Theatre and the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
-Each year the Music Center welcomes more than 1.3 million people to performances by its four internaltionally renowned resident companies: Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera, Los Angeles Master Chorale, and the Center Theatre Group as well as perfomances by the dance series Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center.

We believe that arts inspire Higher Education: our Foundation had donated to various programs to help kids learn music and travel and get into college.
